incredible ability to soar. How does that snake make its way over the rock with
no feet?

There's just a sense of mystery in that. A ship might be computer designed in
our day, but it's still an awesome sight to see the wind fill its sails. And the
greatest mystery of all in this list is the last, the way of a man with a woman
with a maiden.

Anyone who thinks that the science of biology has unlocked the mystery of a
relationship between a man and a woman is spending way too much time in the
chemistry lab. This proverb reminds us that when you lose the mystery, romance
is history. There's something about the mystery of what God has done in our
relationships.

You reduce our relationships as men and women to the merely physical and they
become stale, they become boring very quickly. The excitement of a new
relationship wears off within weeks or days, but something different happens.
When we remember that there's so much more than the biological, then there is
the joy of getting to know, to really know on every level, the intricacies, the
intimacies of another person.

Then there is mystery, a mystery that cannot even begin to be exhausted even
after a 60-year marriage. That's the mystery of what God does. When we talk
about the mystery of how God works in our lives, it is a cause for us to give
him praise, to tell him how grateful we are.

Let's do that right now. God, we praise you. When we look at the things you've
made, the ways that you work, some of them are still unknown to us, but we trust
you.

And in the mystery of how you work, we find a deep sense of gratitude and joy.
God, when you work out things in ways that we don't understand, we realize
you're doing it, not us. So as we think about the things that you've made and
the things that we see in creation that are still mysterious to us and the
wonder that's behind them, we give you praise.

And when we think of the relationships of men and women, and how in that
relationship we can see the mystery of an intimacy that only you can create, we
give you praise. It's your plan. It's your idea.

And Lord, if somehow we've lost the mystery of seeing who you are in your
creation, if somehow we've lost the mystery of seeing who you mean us to be in
relationship to each other, God, I pray right now that you plant a seed in our
heart through these verses, that you remind us in a new and a growing way of the
wonderful mystery of the awe-filled mystery of who you are. We ask this, Father,
